Accusing the government of discrimination against the Jammu region, the REZs shouted anti-government slogans. Addressing the media, president of Jammu and Kashmir Agricultural Technocrats Association (JKATA), Surinder Radotra said, "The regularisation list for the candidates of Kashmir division was published on June 23. If the cabinet division is to regularise all 881 candidates in the first batch with effect from April 1, 2014, then why has the list of only 440 candidates been published. We had only heard about discrimination, but now we have experienced it first hand".

He warned the state government and department of agriculture that if the regularisation list was not published immediately; all REZs of Jammu division would be forced to take extreme steps for which Omar Abdulla's government would be responsible.

"We REZs are waiting patiently and honouring the regularisation policy of the state government. But this is the height of discrimination and negligence towards us," Radotra said.

"Our services should be considered from the date of registration of a single REZ in the department on April 1, 2007," he added.
