DADAA member Janak Khajuria threw light on the working of the association during the past 17 years and said that the association was a non-political organisation that championed the cause of protecting, preserving and developing rich cultural heritage, art and languages of Duggar land, in general, and welfare of artists, in particular.

Association members put their grievances and suggestions for the development of the artists' fraternity. The association ensured the members that their grievances would be resolved.

The association resolved to demand 'Duggar channel' to promote, protect and develop the rich cultural heritage, art and languages of more than 1 crore Dogri-speaking population settled in Mirpur, Bimber, Bag, Sialkot and Shakargarh of Pakistan; Pathankot, Gurdaspur and Hoshiarpur of Punjab; and Chamba, Kangra, Palampur, Kulu and Manali of Himachal Pradesh.
