If you thought Dil le gayi kudi was obscene, Jassi?s latest video will go a step further.

If you found Punjabi singer Jassi’s videos Dil le gayi kudi or Kudi kudi obscene, then his latest video (Mukhda chan varga) might come as a
bigger shock. Says Jassi: “If my earlier videos were vulgar, then this one is outright dirty.”

However, “if Dil le gayi started it, Mukhda chan varga will end it.” Mukhda... will be his last explicit video, Jassi says. “People say only girls in skimpy clothes sell. But I am not happy with such videos. I think in the future I’ll make it clear in the agreement itself that I don’t want any more such videos.”

Jassi is now all set on (and visibly interested in) going international. “I am concentrating on my international project,” he says. “It is Punjabi with hip hop. I am working with people like Shaggy and 50 Cent.” That’s big news, isn’t it? “Punjabi music is becoming really big worldwide. There is a lot of scope for people like me now,” he says.

Any Bollywood projects? “I have two or three acting offers. But I want to do my kind of films — ones that will first travel to international film festivals and then be released in theatres. I don’t want to do just another Punjabi film.”Any songs in Bollywood? “Yeah, I have done a song in Dobara (Jackie Shroff and Raveena Tandon),” he says.
