Jaya Bachchan gets I-T notice

Taxmen have asked Jaya to file returns for the last 12 years for her company.

After issuing notice to Amitabh Bachchan, as it appeared in some sections of press, for possessing an expensive pair of sunglasses, the I-T department has now sent a notice to his wife, Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan, for financial irregularities.

The I-T department in Mumbai asked Jaya Bachchan to file her returns for the last 12 years for her company Lotus Investment.

This follows a letter that the I-T dept had written to the Bachchans, asking them about property taxes that were to be paid for their home Jalsa in Mumbai.
