Jeev Milkha Singh's search for his first top-10 finish on the European Tour this season ended on Saturday when he carded a 70 on the final day of the Nordea Masters at the Bro Hof Slott Golf Club.
Overnight joint seventh, Jeev surged ahead but a double bogey on the 15th pulled him back and he finished at the same spot. Lee Westwood completed his warm-up for the US Open with a final round three-under 69 to win by five shots. The third ranked Westwood's 19-under 269 saw him complete his 22nd European Tour victory and his third in Sweden.
BRONZE FOR TINTU
New Delhi: Tintu Luka came up with a below par performance but that was enough for her to finish third in women’s 800m race in the Primo Nebiolo Memorial Meeting at Turin, Italy.
Luka clocked 2:02.71 secs behind Cuban Yuneisy Santiusty (2:00.93 secs) and Marta Milani (2:02.65 secs) of Italy.
SRI LANKA WIN
Pallekele: Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by 76 runs in the second ODI here on Saturday to level the five-match series 1-1.
The hosts, who posted a challenging 280-4 after electing to bat, bowled Pakistan out for 204 despite an impressive 96 from opener Azhar Ali. Sri Lankan seamer Thisara Perera finished with a career-best 6-44. Opener Tillakaratne Dilshan top-scored for hosts with an unbeaten 119.

INDIA ‘A’ ON TOP
Kingstown: Ashok Dinda and Rahul Sharma took a wicket each as India ‘A’ got off to a decent start on the opening day of the second unofficial Test against the West Indies ‘A’ on Saturday. Dinda accounted for opener Justin Guillen while Sharma sent back Donovan Pagon to reduce the hosts to 63 for two at lunch. India are leading the three-match series 1-0.

AIR INDIA IN FINAL
New Delhi: Medium pacer Shakti Shehrawat took four wickets and Mohd Kaif made 76 runs to help Air India beat Sporting club by 3 wickets in a thriller to enter final of the 37th Lala Raghubir Singh Hot Weather tournament here.
Air India chased the target of 247 with a ball to spare.
