Jeev takes on Harrington in opening round of WGC-Accenture

Jeev Milkha Singh will take on three-time Major winner Padraig Harrington in the first round of the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Arizona on Wednesday.

There are four sections to the draw, each one of them named in honour of Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan, Gary Player and Sam Snead.

Jeev has been drawn in the Bobby Jones bracket, headed by Steve Stricker, and in the first round he faces Irishman Harrington.

In his previous two appearance, Jeev could not go past the first hurdle and he has another daunting task tomorrow.

Even though Jeev is on an emotional high after the birth of his first baby boy, the Indian was not in great form last week, missing the halfway cut in the Avantha Masters at home.
