Jessica's father admitted to hospital, stable

Family members said he had not been well for some time and was admitted to the Unkal Hospital at Gurgaon.

Murdered ramp model Jessica Lal's father Ajit Lal, who was admitted to a private hospital in New Delhi following illness, was in a stable condition on Monday.

Family members said he had not been well for some time and was admitted to the Unkal Hospital at Gurgaon in Haryana on Saturday after he suffered a brain haemorrhage.

Officials at the hospital said he was in a stable condition in the intensive care unit.

They said Lal had developed complications soon after his wife died in 2000, a year after their daughter was murdered.

Jessica was allegedly shot dead by Manu Sharma while serving liquor at a party at the Tamrind Court restaurant. Sharma is the son of Haryana minister Vinod Sharma.
