Besides, the amount of final settlement was paid to the deceased’s wife within three days of the death. Shankarlal Harprasad, an employee with the TRS Shed Itarsi, got injured during work and died on March 7.

DRM Devi Prasad Pandey handed over the cheque of Rs 1.21 lakh to Hari Bai on Saturday. Earlier, the Welfare section and the railway officials got his son Madan Lal appointed in his father’s place as technician at Itarsi.

The Settlement and Accounts Sections sanctioned the payment to Hari Bai.
