Justice Rastogi to take oath of office today

JUSTICE RAGHUNATH Kishore Rastogi will subscribe to his oath of office as permanent Judge of Allahabad High Court on March 31 at 10 am in the court room of the Chief Justice.

Giving this information, deputy registrar (Protocol), High Court, said that all High Court judges will be present on this occasion. Justice Rastogi was working as the Additional Judge of Allahabad High Court.

Till now, Justice Rastogi was working as Additional Judge of Allahabad High Court.

On account of oath taking ceremony of Justice Rastogi, the courts will sit at 11 am on Friday.

Farewell programme
A GRAND programme will be organised by the Allahabad High Court Bar Association on Friday to give farewell to Justice CP Mishra, a High Court Judge, who will be retiring next month.

Giving this information, Joint Secretary (Press) Shashi Shekhar Tiwari said the programme would begin at 1.15 p.m.

Justice Mishra is highly regarded by the members of the High Court Bar Association because of his judicial acumen, sobriety and humility. The joint secretary has requested all Bar members to be present on this occasion.

Request to Sonia
PRO-CONGRESS ADVOCATES of the Allahabad High Court have decided to approach AICC chief Sonia Gandhi and request her to visit Allahabad in the near future so that Congressmen in particular and people of the city could accord her a red carpet reception for the “historical decision” to resign from the Lok Sabha as well as chairman of National Defence Advisory Council.

According to communiqué issued by HN Mehrotra and SK Vidyarthi on behalf of the advocates, a telegram has already been sent to Sonia Gandhi to accept their invitation for a visit.

In order to decide their future course of action, a sub-committee under the chairmanship of SK Vidyarthi was formed with Gore Lal Sakya, ex- MLA Doodh Nath Yadav, Kandarp Narain Mishra, Ram Samuch Singh, Kamlakar Tiwari, Anshuman Singh, HN Mehrotra as members.
