Jyoti Yadav to lead UP Ranji team

Yadav will captain the Ranji champion side in the absence of Mohammed Kaif, who is on South African tour.

Jyoti Yadav will lead Uttar Pradesh Ranji Trophy team for the year 2006-07, UPCA announced in Kanpur on Monday.

Yadav will captain the Ranji champion side in the absence of Mohammed Kaif, who is busy doing duty for the national team on their tour of South Africa, Sport Administration Secretary P D Pathak said.

Former international player Gopal Sharma will be the manager of team and Rajendra Singh Hans has been appointed as the coach.
