President APJ Abdul Kalam on Sunday paid homage to martyrs at Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate on the Independence Day.
Kalam, who placed a wreath at the war memorial for Indian soldiers killed in World War I, was received by Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee, his deputy BK Handique, the three service chiefs, Defence Secretary Ajai Vikram Singh and senior officials.
