Katai bridge opened to traffic again
THE KATAI bridge which has been closed for repair work on Vikramaditya Marg for over 20 days was opened to traffic on Monday following the completion of work. DRM (NR) Amitabh Lal said the repair work was undertaken to ensure a safe height between the OHE (Over Head Wire) and the bridge.

“The work target was set for 27 days, but the task was accomplished two days in advance,” he said. Four departments — Bridge Workshop, Rail Electrification, Construction and Engineering and NR Lucknow Division worked in coordination to accomplish the task, said the DRM.
The Lucknow Division of Northern Railway would celebrate the beginning of ‘Rail saptah’ on April 13 at the DRM office at 3.30 pm. Employees from various departments would participate in the celebration.
