Tottenham Hotspur's Irish striker Robbie Keane has signed a new four-year contract, the Premier League club said on Friday.
"It is something that has been going on for a while, I am just happy it is now signed and I can look forward to a good future with Tottenham," said the new Ireland captain.
It has been a good week for Keane, who celebrated becoming Ireland skipper with a goal in his country's 3-0 friendly win over World Cup-bound Sweden at Lansdowne Road on Wednesday.
