It was during the Commonwealth games in September 1998 in which India, Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, New Zealand participated that cricket was introduced for the first time into the games and that was also the only time Commonwealth games have seen cricket.

What was so wrong with Kinrara Pitch is still not known but there was a Semi-final match between Australia and New Zealand when New Zealand were bowled out for just 58 runs. And Australia achieved the victory target in just 10.3 overs. The pitch at Kinrara is slow and stroke making is pretty tough. And when India, Australia and West Indies tri-series takes place, the pitches will be no different.

The good thing about this series will be that it will be played in the month of September when Malaysia sees very little of rain and as Kinrara Oval has the facility of Floodlights, day/night cricket matches will present a brilliant festival of Cricket in Malaysia.
