Shortly after taking oath, Reddy and Moily held confabulations on various issues at the Lake View government guest house in Hyderabad.

Talking to reporters earlier, Moily said the state will have a Deputy Chief Minister from Telangana region.

Meanwhile, a large number of MLAs and other leaders congratulated Reddy on becoming a Chief Minister.

Welcoming the election of Reddy as Chief Minister, several leaders said he would prove to be a good leader.

"He is educated and has a good understanding of issues. I am sure he will be a good Chief Minister," senior Congress MLA and former minister J C Diwakar Reddy said.

With Reddy, who was the Assembly Speaker, taking over as Chief Minister on Thursday, speculation is rife over who will become the next Speaker.

The names of M Sasidhar Reddy, senior Congress MLA and son of late Chief Minister M Chenna Reddy and N Manohar, presently Deputy Speaker, are doing rounds for the post.
