The first stretch of a road to be constructed is from COD Crossing to Harihar Dham at an estimated cost of Rs 29 lakh, while, another stretch of a road to be constructed starts from PAC Crossing to Shyam Nagar Railway line. The budget for this is Rs 14 lakh.

It was during inspection of Shyam Nagar that Municipal Commissioner came across the dilapidated condition of the two roads and issued instructions for their repair after the monsoon.
During the inspection, District Health Officer, Chief Engineer and other officials of the Kanpur Municipal Corporation (KMC) were also present.
Taking serious note of the heaps of garbage lying at Sujat Ganj, Municipal Commissioner imposed a fine of Rs 500 on safai karamchariers of the area.
Residents of the area also complained about the indifferent attitude of sweepers.
The municipal commissioner also imposed a fine of Rs 4000 on two shopkeepers for encroaching the pavement. The KMC officials realised the fine on spot.
The Municipal Commissioner also issued an appeal to traders to remove encroachments or be prepared for action.
