Lata Samman to Hridaynath, Kishore award to Shotgun

Film star Shatrughan Sinha has been selected for the national Kishore Kumar Samman for his contribution to acting while Odissi exponent Sonal Mansingh has bagged the Kalidas Samman for her contribution to classical dance, State Culture Minister Laxmikant Sharma told reporters in Bhopal on Saturday.
Kalidas Samman will also be presented to painter Shanti Dave for visual art, to Pandit Puttraj Kavi Gawai for classical music, and to Bimal Lath for theatre.
The national Tulsi Samman for folk arts has been conferred on Aalha singer Lalu Vajpayee, the minister said.
All the awards carry Rs 1 lakh and a citation.
The awards will be presented at functions to be held at Indore, Khandwa, Ujjain and elsewhere shortly, Sharma said.
