A huge posse of US security personnel, including secret service agents, descended on this industrial town adjoining the national capital on Thursday ahead of US first lady Laura Bush's visit.
While American sharp shooters took positions to keep a close vigil, trained dogs, also part of the US contingent, sniffed through the belongings of those entering the venue, be it cameras or personal items of media personnel.
The venue, Eagle Studios where the US first lady would meet the cast of Galli Galli Sim Sim (sesame-street India), a pre-school educational programme to be aired later this year, was sanitised 72 hours before her scheduled arrival, sources said.
While the peripheral security was being taken care of by the Uttar Pradesh police, the building and the studio were kept under vigil by over 70 US security agents.
State police officials were also deployed on the nearby buildings, which were thoroughly searched ahead of the function.
