Mumbai, Jun 27 (PTI) The metropolis experienced light showers on fiday and meteorological department has forecast heavy rains over the next 24 hours.

Rail traffic on Western, Central and Harbour lines was smooth and trains were running on schedule, officials said.
Road traffic was largely unaffected with no reports of major water-logging. Services at the city's airport were also not affected by the rains on saturday, they said.
Meteorological department officials said 99.6 mm of rainfall had been recorded at the Colaba station (in city) and 92.8 mm at its Santacruz station (in suburbs) over the last 24 hours till 0830 on saturday.
Seven incidents of trees falling due to the rains and nine cases of short circuit were reported since the last 24 hours. Five incidents of wall collapse had also been reported.
One person was killed in central Mumbai on friday due to a short circuit, while six others have been injured in the other incidents.
