This year tabloids did a good job as far as generating hot news is concerned. Liz Hurley's affair with Indian millionaire Arun Nayar, Jemima and Hugh Grant's affair and Faria Alam-Eriksson affair aka Fariagate kept the paparazzi rolling.

The 38-year-old Bangladesh-born beauty Faria Alam hit the headlines when her alleged affairs with the Football Association's (FA) chief executive Mark Palios and England Football coach Sven-Goran Eriksson became public.

She has recently filed a complaint with the London Central Employment Tribunal demanding a compensation of £30,000, the total of her salary for a year, alleging that she was forced to quit her job. She also claimed sexual harassment against one of the high-ranking figures at the FA. The complaint is keeping the FA on its toes while action by the tribunal is awaited.

The Liz Hurley-Arun Nayar affair reached its climax this year when the couple was in India to celebrate Nayar's 40th birthday and everybody assumed they would tie the knot the same weekend. However, the excitement died out when nothing happened and in fact the duo was untraceable!

Now, the grapevine has it that the couple is likely to wed in mid-2005. Well, let's see how many times the scribes are fooled!

However, the paparazzi will probably have a field day out when Huge and Jemima, who are reportedly shopping for an engagement ring, announce their nuptial plans sometime next year.

In another love story, Lady Gabriella Windsor, great-niece of George V1 is reportedly in love with Aatish Taseer, son of noted columnist Tavleen Singh. Apparently the couple's parents have already met, so one can probably expect yet another addition to the growing list of extravagant weddings these days. Page 3 should also get a face lift since the couple will reportedly live in India after the wedding.

So let's expect the rumour mills to run faster the coming year as most celeb affairs are yet to reach their conclusion!
