LS poll will be verdict on Amarinder govt: Bhattal

Elections in Punjab will be a verdict on the performance of Congress govt, his rival and Deputy Chief Minister said.

Lok Sabha elections on May 10 in Punjab will be a verdict on the performance of the Amrinder Singh government in the state, said Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Rajinder Kaur Bhattal.

She told reporters that the people of Punjab will vote for the Congress on merits judging the performance of the government during the last 26 months.

The Centre, she said, had accepted the state's case by accepting the Dr Johan Committee's report on the diversifications of crop. "This was a great feather in the state agricultural ministry's cap".

The Congress party, she asserted, was going to win the coming elections in the state.
