A 20-year-old girl sustained burn injuries after three men allegedly attacked her with acid over a land dispute in Basti district, police said on Wednesday.

A 20-year-old girl sustained burn injuries after three men allegedly attacked her with acid over a land dispute in Basti district, police said on Wednesday.

Majhlu, Dharmendra and Golu allegedly threw acid on their neighbour Jaiprakash Shukla's daughter while she was sleeping in her house in Walterganj area of the district yesterday, they said.

Police said the victim sustained burn injuries and was admitted to a hospital.

An FIR has been registered in this regard and one of the accused has been arrested, they said.
