Patil has asked the department whether a legal action can be taken against the mouthpiece or not.
However, the state government's tightening loop over the Sena has left the party undeterred. Speaking to a TV channel, Samna's editor Sanjay Raut said that taking action against the mouthpiece will not affect the spirit of the party.
Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on Wednesday had launched a vicious personal attack on Rahul Gandhi saying the Congress MP was a "victim of the disease" that sets in when a person doesn't get married "despite advancing age".
Also, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is facing the Shiv Sena's ire for saying that he favoured Pakistani players' inclusion in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Last week, Sena men protested outside Kahn's Mumbai residence and raised slogan against him.
