Such industrialisation would change the face of the region, he said. He was speaking as the chief guest at Purvanchal Drishti 2006, organised by Laghu Udyog Sewa Sansthan, Naini, at a city hotel.

He said it was because of lack of awareness among the people of these districts and their negative attitude towards small-scale industries that they were lagging behind. He called for a need to change the people’s attitude in order to bring about the desired transformation.

He said the Central and the State Government’s plans to provide employment to people would succeed after a network of small- scale industries was set up in the country.

The programme was conducted by Rashtriya Laghu Udyog Sansthan chairman AK Singh. Slides were shown to the gathering.
