Major reshuffle in Chhattisgarh police

Raipur IG (Intelligence) D M Avasthi has been appointed as IG (EoW) and Y K S Thakur, who was handling the post, has been given the responsibility of IG (Headquarters).

Additional Transport Commissioner Sanjay Pillai has been trasferred to IG (Planning) while R K Vij, who was holding the post, has been made IG, Durg range, they said.

Similarly, Mukesh Gupta, who was holding the post of IG (Durg) has been made the new Raipur IG (Intelligence) while IG, CID (Naxal operations) Rajesh Mishra has been appointed as IG Special Intelligence Bureau (SIB), they said.
