A Maharshi Patanjali Vidya Mandir (MPVM) passout, Amit's tryst with Bollywood started in 2003 when he left the job in Delhi to try his luck in Mumbai. "I always believed that I was cut out for acting and only acting," he claims while addressing a press conference here in his hometown on Saturday.
"With theatre experience in my kitty, I decided to call it quit the marketing job at Hewlett Packard and headed for my dream town," recalls Amit who got a chance to hone his acting skills with theatre veterans like Victor Bannerjee, Praveen Bhatia to name a few.
In Mumbai, after a little struggle, Amit got to act in a feature film. "Though the shooting is complete the film could be released on time. Probably this year the movie would be released," he said.
Though he can not claim that his hands are full, Amit is satisfied with few roles that he is playing. "My serial ‘Kahan Hoon Main' will be aired on Star Plus from the last week of February and few other projects are also under considerations," he says.
