"Sau Jhooth Ek Sach", starring Mammootty along with Vikram Gokhle, Lillete Dubey, Joy Sengupta, Kiran Janjani and Neha Dubey, is directed by Bappaditya Roy, reports Bollywood Trade.

The mother-daughter pair of Lillette and Neha Dubey share screen space after "Monsoon Wedding".

The story revolves around how each member of an affluent family is linked to a suicide in the neighbourhood, and takes moral responsibility for it. The story then breaks through each family member's denial of association with the incident.

It deals with the dark secrets of the family members, and their inability to accept them in the normal course of their lives.

Mammootty said about his role: "Mine is a very difficult and challenging role; so very unlike a typical Hindi movie cop. In fact, it is completely non-action, and probably my best in the national language."

"Sau Jhooth Ek Sach" is produced by Think 16. The film marks the debut of director Bappaditya Roy in feature films. He had earlier directed "The Philosopher Athlete", a biographical documentary film on Naseeruddin Shah.
