Man gets 32 years for raping 5 daughters

The man has 10 wives and 64 children, 33 sons and 31 daughters aged between 9 months and 16 years.

A Singaporean man with 10 wives and 64 children was jailed after he admitted to raping five of his daughters, all below 16, according to court documents released on Wednesday.

The 45-year-old owner of a transport company, whose name was withheld to protect his daughters' identities, was sentenced to 32 years in prison and 24 strokes of cane after admitting to a total of 43 charges including rape, aggravated rape and molestation.

Over a period of 18 months from December 2003, the man repeatedly raped five of his daughters, who were aged between 12 and 15 at the time, with the help of some of his wives, court documents showed.

"The numerous rapes in this case were systematic and sickening," High Court Judge Tay Yong Kwang said.

The man's 33 sons and 31 daughters are between 9 months and 16 years of age.
