Man held for sodomising 3-yr-old boy
A 28-year-old man was arrested on Thursday for sexually abusing a three-year-old boy who lives in his neighbourhood at Sion Koliwada.
A 28-year-old man was arrested on Thursday for sexually abusing a three-year-old boy who lives in his neighbourhood at Sion Koliwada.
The incident came to light after the minor was found bleeding from his private parts.
On Wednesday, Satpalsingh Kotada lured the minor to his home by promising him some chocolates. Kotada’s wife had gone away to her parents’ house.
“After taking the child to the mezzanine floor, Kotada allegedly sexually abused him. The boy cried out in pain,” said SS Deshmukh, an inspector from the Antop Hill police station.
The boy’s father, who was passing by Kotada’s house after buying chocolates for his son, heard the screams.
He barged into the house only to find the child crying. When he confronted Kotada, he claimed the boy had hurt himself.
The victim’s father became suspicious when he saw that the boy was bleeding from his private parts.
He spoke to the child, who recounted the assault.
The father turned to Kotada as neighbours gathered, and Kotada admitted that he had sodomised the boy.
The locals thrashed him and handed him over to the police.
The police have booked Kotada under section 377 (unnatural sex) of the Indian Penal Code.
When the officials arrested Kotada and questioned him, he confessed to having committed the crime.
