A 40-year-old man has been shot dead by unidentified gunmen at a musical show in Manipur's Imphal district.

A 40-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at a musical show in Manipur's Imphal district, official souces said on Tuesday.

The man, who hailed from interior Thoubal district, was gunned down during the programme at Lansonbi bazaar last night.

He sustained two bullet wounds and succumbed at a private hospital late last night, the sources said.

The motive behind the killing is yet to be known and no individual or group has claimed responsibility.
