Man killed in IED blast in Jammu & Kashmir

The apparent target of the attack was a team of security personnel who usually search vehicles at the incident spot.

At least one civilian was killed in an IED blast triggered by terrorists in downtown Srinagar on Friday.

Shabir Hussain Khan, who was riding a motorcycle, was killed on the spot when the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded at Hawal Chowk at around 10 am, official sources said.

The apparent target of the attack was a team of security personnel who usually search vehicles at the spot of the incident.

There was no immediate report of any injury in the blast so far, they said.

No terrorist outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
