A man was sentenced to seven years imprisonment by a local court here for raping a minor girl, prosecution sources said on Saturday.

A man was sentenced to seven years imprisonment by a local court for raping a minor girl, prosecution sources said on Saturday.
On August 22, 2009, Buddisagar Kalhari raped the 16-year-old girl in Waltarganj area, government counsel Jai Govind Singh said.
On the basis of evidences and a charge sheet filed by the police, Additional Sessions and District Judge Prashant Mishra held Kalhari guilty on Friday.
The judge also imposed a fine of Rs 2,000 on the accused.
