The election commission on Tuesday announced the election schedule for the byelection to the Mandi parliamentary seat, which fell vacant after sitting member Virbhadra Singh was elected as chief minister in December last year. The notification will be formally issued on May 29.

The date for filing the nominations have been fixed for June 5 and 6 and the last date for withdrawing the nominations has is June 8. The polling will be held on June 23 and the counting of votes on June 27.
