MANIT?s ?Technosearch? begins

TECHNOSEARCH-06 ? the three-day mega technical fest of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) was inaugurated on Thursday. On this occasion Director of the institute Dr KS Pandey was the chief guest.

TECHNOSEARCH-06 – the three-day mega technical fest of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) was inaugurated on Thursday. On this occasion Director of the institute Dr KS Pandey was the chief guest.

Dr Pandey welcomed all the participants and expressed hope that the programme would be a big success. In his speech he said MANIT was one of the leading institutes of the country and in the coming year united efforts would take this institute to a much higher position.

He also announced cash prizes worth Rs 6,000 for the winning students. During the inauguration function institute Deputy Director Dr Ashutosh Sharma, all Deans of the institute and Staff Advisor Dr Aruna Saxena were present on the dais.

Hundreds of students from various national institutes in the country are participating in the three-day event. Today events like Vismit, Aakriti, Manthan, Chimera, Aalekhan, Grip and Apalak were organised.

In the event ‘Aakriti’ students displayed their technical working models. Some of the innovative models were a low cost Water Cooler, which can work like an air conditioner and has capacity to air cool many rooms simultaneously, a car was also displayed, which can alter its light intensity with its speed.

A comfortable wheel chair and shoe for the physically challenged persons were also main attractions of the events. Under the event ‘Grip’, students fabricated robotic power boats and displayed their potential and power in a 6 x 4 water pool. About 100 teams participated in this event.

Apart from these, some other events of the day were Vismit – a photo exhibition, Manthan – a management case study, Aalekhan – an online computer gaming contest and a software development event ‘Apalak’.
