Students appearing for the Class X mathematics exam of the CBSE on Thursday complained that the paper was lengthy and left them little time for revision. "The paper was not very difficult but it was a little lengthy. Though we managed to complete it in time, there was no time to revise it," said Nakul Das, a student of Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai.

"Out of the 25 questions, one geometry question was very difficult and almost all the students were taking time to solve it," Das said. Another student Ravish Kumar said: "Though the 15 minutes of cool-off time to go through the question paper before the commencement of the exam was of great help, the mathematics paper was somehow long.

"I just managed to complete it but there was no time to recheck the answersheets. Some questions were tricky too." Agreed T Sudha Rani, a mathematics teacher: "The students found the paper a bit lengthy and some of them could not complete it. The questions on arithmetic progression and mensuration were a bit tricky." An estimated 646,387 students, including 268,939 girls, are taking the examination.
