Maya's lawyer gets threat calls to withdraw from case

Lawyer representing minister of state for higher education Maya Kodnani accused in 2002 riot case has filed a police complaint alleging that he had received threat calls asking him to withdraw from the case, police said.

Lawyer representing minister of state for higher education Maya Kodnani accused in 2002 riot case has filed a police complaint alleging that he had received threat calls asking him to withdraw from the case, police said.

A complaint in this regard was registered at the Satellite police station at mid-night, they said.

Oza, who is representing Kodnani accused of instigating the mob that killed over 100 people of minority community during the post-Godhra riots in 2002, has give four mobile phone number from which the alleged threat call were made yesterday late evening, police said.

Some people who are suspected to be involved are being questioned, they said adding that further investigation was on.
