Militants trigger two explosions in Poonch, no loss

Suspected militants today triggered two blasts in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir but there was no casualty, police officials said.

Suspected militants today triggered two blasts in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir but there was no casualty, police officials said.

The militants had planted two Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs) on the road in Dabi area near Line of Control (LoC) of Balakote belt and Abass Post in Mendhar to target security forces and their convoys, they said.

The IEDs exploded at a time when there was no traffic on the road, they said, adding there was no loss of life or
damage to property in the blasts.

Troops later conducted sensitisation operation in and around the area, they said.
