STATE MINISTER for Medical Education Vinod Singh alias Pandit made a surprise visit to BRD Medical College and Nehru Hospital on Tuesday night. He asked the college authorities to suspend a neurosurgeon Dr Vijay Shanker Maurya for laxity in duty. He also asked principal of the college Dr RD Mukhija to submit an inquiry report regarding the complaints of corruption at the registration counter of the college
STATE MINISTER for Medical Education Vinod Singh alias Pandit made a surprise visit to BRD Medical College and Nehru Hospital on Tuesday night. He asked the college authorities to suspend a neurosurgeon Dr Vijay Shanker Maurya for laxity in duty.

He also asked principal of the college Dr RD Mukhija to submit an inquiry report regarding the complaints of corruption at the registration counter of the college. The minister also inspected the operation theatre, ophthalmic ward, emergency ward and ward number 2. He discussed with patients regarding the facilities being provided to them by hospital authorities.
Later, he reached the principal office of the medical college and held discussion with him on the inspection of the Medical Council of India.
Singh also inquired about the ongoing examination at medical college and directed the officials to maintain cleanliness at the hospital. He repeatedly said that the State Government was committed to equip the medical college with the latest machines and save the recognition of the college.
After two-hour inspection and discussion with medical college authorities when the minister came out of the principal office, he was prepared to answer the questions raised by media persons.
