Minor girl raped and murdered

The girl went missing last night, following which a search was conducted in which her body was on Sunday recovered from a godown at Bidhi Chand Colony of Gobindgarh.

Nine-year-old daughter of Ram Milan, who hails from Bihar, left home to attend a religious ceremony last night at around 9 pm. When she did not return home till late night, the family went out in her search, police said adding the girl's mother today found her body from a nearby godown.

During preliminary investigations, it was found that the girl was first raped and then murdered, sources said.
