Missing teen’s body found

The body of Omkar Pawar (14), a Class 8 student who had been missing since Saturday evening, was found in Kalyan creek, near Kopargaon.

Inspector A.T. Suryvanshi, Vishnunagar police station said, “Omkar was staying here with his uncle. On Saturday, he returned from school and went out to play. But when he did not return in the evening, his uncle Ajay Lavekar (38) and neighbours started looking for him.”

“Unable to find him, Lavekar then lodged a missing person complaint,” Suryvanshi said.

Fisherman found his body floating in the creek on Sunday morning and notified the authorities.
