STUDENTS OF Class XII were accorded farewell in a glittering programme in Mithi Gobindram Public School run by Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society.

The programme began with the lighting of lamp and offering flowers in the lotus feet of Goddess Saraswati by the chief guest Dadi K V Lakhani, president of the Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society. Principal Ms Kala Mohan in her inspiring speech emphasised on the significance of eternal values of love compassion and brotherhood in the wholesome development of an individual’s personality.

The chief guest in her address to the gathering underlined the importance of contentment as the basis of Indian philosophy and exhorted upon the students to emulate it in their lives.

The ‘handing over of school flag ceremony’ filled one and all with an overwhelming sense of belongingness and responsibility. The air was filled with excitement when the awards and titles to the students of Class XII were announced.

‘Swar-Lahri’- medley of songs, “Vision 2015” a short skit and the foot-tapping “Bhangra” were presented by the students of Class XI which set all those present rocking.

The programme was successfully conducted by Shilpi and Vineet Joshi. This memorable event concluded with refreshment and group photographs of the students. The principals and head mistresses of the associate schools run by the society were also present for the momentous occasion.
