MMMEC alumni meet begins

Over 500 former students of Madan Mohan Malviya Engineering College (MMMEC) are taking part in the college?s alumni association meet that started here on Saturday. Inaugurating the programme, principal Dr Pratap Singh expressed hope that the occasion would prove to be a source of inspiration for the students of the college. He threw light on the history of the college and claimed that it had attained a distinct position among the engineering colleges of the country and stressed that this phase should be sustained.

Over 500 former students of Madan Mohan Malviya Engineering College (MMMEC) are taking part in the college’s alumni association meet that started here on Saturday.

Inaugurating the programme, principal Dr Pratap Singh expressed hope that the occasion would prove to be a source of inspiration for the students of the college. He threw light on the history of the college and claimed that it had attained a distinct position among the engineering colleges of the country and stressed that this phase should be sustained.

He said that a alumni association hall and an air-conditioned hall would be built in the college and a grand gate would be erected near the statue of Madan Mohan Malviya.

Dr Pratap Singh further said that the function would be organised every year.

Welcoming the guests, president of the alumni association, Dr DB Singh, said that the several MMMC students were experts in their respective fields and their presence in the college would give a direction to the present students.

He said the alumni of the college from USA Mukul Sharma, Shashi Tripathi would also participate in this meet.
