MNS lodges FIR against AIB’s Tanmay Bhat, demands arrest over Sachin-Lata video
Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Monday lodged an FIR against All India Bakchod’s (AIB) Tanmay Bhat after he posted a video of a mock coversation between legends Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulkar. MNS’s IT cell is working on an online campaign to force Bhat to remove the video.
Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) on Monday lodged an FIR against All India Bakchod’s (AIB) Tanmay Bhat after he posted a video of a mock coversation between legends Lata Mangeshkar and Sachin Tendulkar. MNS’s IT cell is working on an online campaign to force Bhat to remove the video.
The video posted by Bhat on his Facebook page titled “Sachin Vs Lata civil war” shows them arguing over who is better “Sachin or Virat Kohli”.
It also shows strong expletives being used between the two, which has angered many, including political outfits such as the MNS.
“We will not tolerate insults of both Bharat Ratna’s whose contribution to the world is immense. We will lodge a FIR against Bhat,” said MNS leader Avinash Abhyankar.
Apart from MNS, actors like Anupam Kher, Riteish Deshmukh and Celina Jaitley have all come down heavily on the video. Previously AIB was caught in a controversy when it staged a live show featuring various actors like Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in 2014 which again was condemned by many as vulgar.
