Four blasts rocked London Thursday taking 40 lives and injuring at least 700 others.
Modi wrote to the British diplomat to seek information on Gujaratis in the UK capital in the light of the blasts, sources in the chief minister's office said.
Gujaratis form a large segment of the non-resident Indian (NRI) community in the UK.
