Radio may get a new lease of life with Prime Minister Narendra Modi deciding to interact with people on issues concerning them through one of the oldest communication mediums.
“Let's connect on the Radio...want your ideas,” he said in one of the tweets seeking suggestions of the people through government website mygov.nic.in.
The move comes a day after he had interacted with over a million children in schools across India on Teacher’s Day.
The Prime Minister has invited suggestions from people to connect on radio. He has encouraged people to share their ideas in this regard on the MyGov platform, a PMO statement said.
The ideas are being invited about the format and frequency of the interaction through radio and the issues they would like to discuss. He also wants to know whether the interaction should be with pre-invited audience or open to all for phone-ins, sources said.
Modi has already reached out to various segments of the society through social media, video conferencing, emails and SMSes.
