Yakub is an associate of Sansar Chand. He is also a co-accused in the Pema Thinley case and was also accused in the Satna case against Shabbir Ali.

In Samalkha, there was a seizure of 7 leopard skins and 18 otter skins and the accused confessed that they had been supplying skins to Mohammed Yakub. As of now, he is lying low because of his illness. Two weeks ago three people from Samalkha were arrested in Terai region with leopard skins, they also said that they consignment was meant for Yakub.
