More seats for MBA, B Tech, Fashion Designing

The Delhi government has decided to increase 1,600 seats in various technical institutions and ITIs from this academic year.

The Delhi government has decided to increase 1,600 seats in various technical institutions and ITIs from this academic year. The decision was taken in a meeting of the State Vocational Education Board presided over by CM Sheila Dikshit. At present, the intake in B Tech course is 2,550.

This would be increased to 3,210. The intake of MBA course has been increased from 480 to 720.

The B Tech course has seen an increase of seats in Guru Teg Bahadur Institute Of Technology, Maharaja Suraj Mal Institute of Technology, Northern India Engineering College and Ambedkar Institute of Technology.

Sixty seats each of MBA have been increased in Delhi Institute of Advance Studies, Rukmani Devi Institute of Advance Studies and Delhi School of Professional Studies.

Around 700 seats have also been increased in 10 ITIs for courses such as fashion designing, photography, commercial art, etc.
