In an important decision, the state cabinet on Monday eased the rules for appointment on compassionate grounds.
Now, married daughters and adopted children will be eligible for appointments in government jobs provided they give in writing that they would take care of their parents. The monetary compensation kin of government employees get on their deaths have also been increased.
The state cabinet also approved decision to create a separate wing to manage administrative affairs of the government hospitals. One hundred nine posts for separate administrative heads were given sanction of the state government. This new cadre would be solely responsible for the administrative affairs of the hospitals.
The cabinet also approved opening of 17 new colleges in Madhya Pradesh. Some other colleges have been given permission to open new sections and subjects. Three hundred forty nine posts for these colleges have been sanctioned.
In another landmark decision, cabinet approved tax amendment in Transport Act. Environment-friendly transports would be given concession in taxes. Carrier transport vehicles will now have an option of depositing life-time tax for once. Fares of air conditioned and deluxe buses may come down as government as offered tax exemption on these busses.
Tax for school vans and buses have been decided at Rs 12 per seat per year. One-time tax on vehicles operating under rural transport service has been set at one percent of vehicle’s price. A total of Rs 90 crore have been sanctioned for rejuvenation plan of Khan river.
Rules have been amended to benefit daily wage workers. Their salaries would get a considerable hike after this amendment. Their appointment would also be regularised.
