Screen heartthrobs on the watch list include Shahrukh Khan (he switched loyalties from Omega to TAG Heuer), Aishwarya Rai (brand ambassadress for Longines), Twinkle Khanna (the face of Movado watches) and Amitabh Bachchan (for Damas' diamond encrusted timepieces). While Yana Gupta has added a sizzle to Christine Dior's wristwear, demure Soha Ali Khan recently unveiled the Nebula range of high-end watches from Titan.
For many, their affair with time means much more than the money they earn. "I always wanted a TAG. It's been a cherished dream to own one of these watches, and now it has been fulfilled," says Shahrukh.
According to Manishi Sanwal, brand manager, TAG Heuer, LVMH Watch & Jewellery India, the Shahrukh Khan-inspired Tag Heur watch comprises the brand's globally highest-selling 2000 series and retails at Rs 50,000 and above. The actor's involvement with the product is complete - creative inputs from Shahrukh have reportedly helped TAG's design team give the collection a personal touch.
