Mumbai to face 10% water cut from June 22

Citizens would be requested to use water judiciously under these circumstances, the sources said.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to impose a 10 per cent water cut in this city from June 22 till the beginning of the monsoon.

"The catchments of lakes supplying water to Mumbai have not yet received rainfall and the levels of the lakes are going down. As a result of this the water cut is being imposed," a BMC source said.

Citizens would be requested to use water judiciously under these circumstances, the sources said.
